Clive’s Update 1-10-2010

Thursday, September 30th, 2010
Hi all, sorry about the lack of news, but have been away in New York and yes what a city!
Carters our main supplier put on a fantastic trip and it was great to catch up with so many other building industry people . Thank you to the Carter’s team and all the generous suppliers that made the trip the best ever

Yes we too came home to a completely trashed house after the 7.1 earthquake. Thanks to my wonderful family, most of the mess was cleaned up when we returned.

I hope you are all getting your lives back together after this testing time. Cantabrians sure know how to band together in an emergency. Our solid concrete house stood up well. Structural engineer Kevin Simcock obviously did a good job – no more after shocks please!

We are off to another Master Builder’s House of the Year National Final in November, after receiving a gold reserve award for the Scarborough Rocks project

Spring growth is now in full swing at West Melton, so my Saturdays are back to lawn mowing.

Wine of the week is:   Hunters 2010 Sauvignon Blanc

Regards Clive
