Clive’s Update 5-7-2010

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010
  • Rhys Barrington our apprentice chief son has just won – The Salon Culinaire Competition –The same mystery ingredients were given to each competitor and had to make two portions of entrée in one hour. Rhys is currently employed by the Crown Plaza Christchurch under executive chief Tony Smith. The event drew some very tuff competition and was very kindly sponsored by United Fisheries .Well done Rhys !!!
  • CBs birthday was on July 4th .We had a fabulous family occasion at Saggio Davino
  • Great to see the sun after all that wet weather .Jobs sites are just about back to normal and men finally working without wet weather gear .
  • Wine of the week; Ngapuarata 2006 Pinot Noir
  • This is a tiny winery in West Melton but definably worth a visit on the weekend for the lamb shank soup

Have a great week

Regards Gillian B   (the boss)
